Lacombe Emergency Department

Shunda was engaged to renovate the Lacombe Emergency Department, enhancing its functionality, flow, and ability to better serve the community's medical needs. The architect optimized the existing square footage to achieve these improvements efficiently. During the 10-month construction period, the hospital temporarily relocated the department, allowing Shunda to implement infection prevention and control measures before commencing work. The scope of the renovation included demolition, structural modifications, plumbing upgrades, steel stud framing, electrical and mechanical rough-ins, insulation, drywall, painting, flooring, T-bar ceilings, door and hardware installation, washroom accessories, lift installations, surgical lighting, and millwork.
