This project included the full renovation of the existing emergency department at the Lacombe Hospital. The emergency department was temporarily relocated to allow for demolition to take place. Structural reinforcement allowed for new air handling units to be installed as well as patient lifts and updated exam lighting. Altogether, the new space features a new waiting room, triage / admitting area, nurses station, 12 new treatment bays, medical rooms, clean and soiled utility rooms, quiet room washrooms and offices.
