The Community Learning Campus (CLC) is a joint venture between Olds College and the Chinooks Edge School Division, and the Government of Alberta. It was constructed in collaboration with the Town of Olds, Mountain View County, and the University of Alberta. Comprised of several buildings and stages, this project included the 190,000 sq. ft. Ralph Klein High School and Health & Wellness Centre which houses as a 3-court gymnasium, upper level running track and multiple community services office areas. Extensive site works for the project were tendered in phases with the option to bid on separate packages or as a complete project. Using the separate package pricing received we were able to reduce costs by over a million dollars. The TransCanada Fine Arts & Multi-Media Centre includes a 350+ seat theatre, a gathering place for students and community, lobby, beauty and esthetics lab, music lab, classroom space and storage. The Bell e-Learning Centre was constructed as an addition to the existing Student Association & Library Building. As well as creating expanded offices for the administration of Olds College, there are leasable meeting rooms, multimedia and video conferencing rooms, and video classrooms for off-campus classes.
